The 2024-25 NBA season reached its climax on Tuesday night, but the Boston Celtics have already won — at least with their new hardware.

The team unveiled giant rings after winning its record 18th championship against the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals in June. The rings are set with 15 carats of white diamonds and represent the 15 teams in the Eastern Conference. This is exactly where the symbolism begins.

The ring, made by Jason of Beverley Hills, also features a removable top that reveals a tiny replica of the championship banner that the Celtics raised before hosting the Knicks in the season opener on Tuesday night. On the inside of the removable lid is a small, circular piece of the actual hardwood floor where Boston won the title.

Each ring is also individually designed and features a nameplate on one side with the player's jersey number filled in with diamonds.

However, Boston's dominance in the 2023/24 season is pointed out throughout. The word “Champions” at the bottom of the ring contains 80 diamonds, representing Boston's 80 total regular season and playoff wins. The side bezel features 84 diamond dots representing the playoff winning percentage (0.842). The inside of the shaft features the record of each playoff series.

All details about the rings can be found here:

While it was the team's 18th championship, the 2023-24 NBA title was the first for the Celtics since the 2007-08 season.
