Detroit Lions vs Dallas Cowboys: Predictions, Tips, Odds

play

Two of this year's NFC favorites meet this weekend when the Dallas Cowboys host the Detroit Lions. Each team has a solid three wins in five weeks, but the Lions are coming off a bye. They will be well rested against the Cowboys, who had to give the Pittsburgh Steelers everything they had to win.

Although Lions quarterback Jared Goff has been known to be much better at home than away, he has still won 11 of his last 15 road contests. The Cowboys will certainly have their work cut out for them, and they could be in danger of falling to .500 again.

Here are our experts' predictions for the Week 6 showdown.

Lorenzo Reyes: Lions 24, Cowboys 17

Dallas' lack of explosiveness in the rushing game and Detroit's tendency to stifle the run could make this game one-dimensional for the Cowboys' offense. Plus, the Lions are coming off a bye; I really like her at this point.

Tyler Dragon: Lions 28, Cowboys 24

The Cowboys find themselves in a difficult part of their schedule despite a bye in Week 7. Dallas was able to defeat a Steelers team that was struggling offensively last week. The Lions have the third-best offense overall in the NFL. The Lions have the personnel to overpower the Cowboys in the trenches. Expect this battle to be a high-scoring affair, but Detroit will emerge victorious.

Jordan Mendoza: Lions 26, Cowboys 23

A match that has the potential for a shootout. Detroit's defense is able to contain Dak Prescott and get the Lions to 4-1.
