DNC raises banner over Packers vs. Cardinals and warns voters about Donald Trump and Project 2025

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – As part of a new NFL advertising campaign, the Democratic National Convention has planned a flyover banner during the Packers vs. Cardinals game at Lambeau Field on Sunday.

The banner reads “Sack Trump's Project 2025!” Vote for Kamala!” and is part of an advertising campaign that the DNC says is an attempt to meet voters where they are. The DNC also says they wanted to use the opportunity of a week with NFL teams from six battleground states to remind voters of Project 2025's agenda.

“It's NFL Sunday and Packers fans across Wisconsin are ready to abandon Donald Trump's Project 2025 playbook and fight for their freedom with the Harris-Walz ticket. Trump's Project 2025 agenda is a dangerous plan that gives him unprecedented power over the daily lives of Wisconsinites, raising taxes on typical families by nearly $4,000 a year and giving tax giveaways to his billionaire friends. That's why the DNC is meeting Wisconsin voters where they are and letting them know that the most important matchup is in November and we must all work together to defeat Donald Trump by voting for Kamala Harris and Coach Tim Walz.” DNC spokeswoman Stephanie Justice said in a statement.

Wisconsin Republicans issued a statement to Action 2 News about the ad campaign, saying:

“Considering that the DNC has always viewed Wisconsin as a flyover state, this latest aerial publicity stunt should surprise no one. Thanks to the disastrous policies of Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, Packer fans are paying more than ever to stay close outside Lambeau as food prices have risen more than 25% in the last four years.”
