Donald Trump calls himself the “Father of IVF” and then says he only learned what IVF was at the Women's Issues Town Hall this year

Less than three weeks until the presidential election Donald Trump And Kamala Harris are effectively in a dead heat. But when it comes to support for women, the vice president outperforms the former president by a whopping 15 points, a new poll shows. Even if you only take white women into account, Trump is historically doing poorly, and he is on pace to have the worst numbers of any GOP candidate in a century among this particular demographic.

Hence the decision to attend a town hall meeting with Fox News on Tuesday night focused on “women's issues” — which, well, probably went exactly as you'd expect such an event to go. That means he spent a lot of time ranting about immigrants and almost no time providing factual answers to people's questions.

When asked why the government “stands up for women’s basic rights,” i.e. the right to abortion, Trump responded with his favorite lie: “Everyone wanted that.” Roe v. Wade knocked over.

And what will he do to make bacon more affordable? After a digression about how the war in Ukraine and October 7th didn't happen under his leadership, his big answer to inflation was: “We have to lower prices.”

On the issue of transgender athletes participating in women's sports, he stated that he would simply “ban” it.
