Doutzen Kroes on returning to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show after 10 years

Exactly a decade after what was probably her last appearance on the catwalk at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, long-time Angel Doutzen Kroes is back.

“It's unbelievable. I can't believe it's been 10 years – I had to look it up! Where has the time gone?” the Dutch looker told Page Six Style ahead of Tuesday's show.

Kroes made her VS runway debut in 2005, when she was 20, and was one of the brand's iconic Angels from 2008 to 2014.

“I'm 39 now and I'm getting wrinkles here and there,” she said, adding that in an industry that focuses on appearance, her main concern is “accepting age.”

“I have given up the fight! I want to see beauty in everything,” she told us.

“Self-development, self-care and self-love… it sounds very cliché, but I truly believe that's what beauty is all about. Being happy with who you are.”

Just as Victoria's Secret promised to modernize its iconic fashion spectacle, Kroes told us she's “a different person” since we last saw her on the brand's runway, thanks to “so many years of self-reflection.”

“I learned that work is not who I am. “It’s not my job,” she said. “Everything I can do in my job is a bonus – and I really, really enjoy it.”

Kroes isn't the only experienced Angel returning to VS this year; Joining her on the runway will be Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Tyra Banks, Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel, Taylor Hill, Jasmine Tookes and Barbara Palvin.

The 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will air live on Victoria's Secret Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, as well as Amazon Live and Prime Video on October 15 at 7pm ET.
