Drummer NICK PIERCE quits as I lie dying: 'I must maintain my personal health and integrity'

drummer Nick Pierce has announced his departure WHILE I LY DYING. His exit comes just six days after the bassist/vocalist Ryan Neff said he would also leave the group and become a guitarist just a few hours later Ken Suzy announced his own departure.

This morning (Thursday, October 24th)Pierce published the following statement on social media: “From now on I will no longer play drums for WHILE I LY DYING. This is nowhere near the ending I was expecting and I feel like I need to distance myself from the band to preserve my personal health and integrity.

“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who accompanied and supported me on this journey. My goal has always been and always will be to create unforgettable memories with my friends and write music that truly resonates with our fans. I'm proud of it.” I was touring and also writing and recording drums for the new album.

“Looking forward, I look forward to continuing my drumming career and pursuing what I love most, making music. My tour and session schedule is now open to new possibilities.”

When Suzy announced his exit WHILE I LY DYINGhe wrote in a statement: “My time is playing a role.” WHILE I LY DYING ended today. I leave with great gratitude for everyone who has followed and supported me from the beginning DIG OUT at this era of my career.

“I jumped in AILD Camp with extensive knowledge of dramatic history, but also had a drive to just play great music with great friends. Unfortunately, my personal morals have been severely tested lately, and now it's the saddest end to perhaps this band's greatest second chance.

Ryan Neff is receiving a lot of backlash for stepping down first, and I regret not communicating that decision sooner and confidently standing by my friend's side – he is a flawless musician and an even better person.

“I will miss you all on this stage and look forward to seeing you on the next one. Anyone looking for a guitarist? My resume is ready.”

Neff announced his exit WHILE I LY DYING On October 18, he wrote in a statement: “This decision came after much consideration and I believe it is the right step for my personal and professional journey.”

“I am grateful for the experiences and contacts I made during my time with the band.

“Thank you to all the fans for your support.”

WHILE I LY DYING's European tour, “Ahead Through Storms”which was set to begin on November 15th in Würzburg, Germany, has now reportedly been canceled. WHILE I LY DYINGis the eighth full-length studio album, “Ahead Through Storms”will be released on November 15th via Napalm Records. The LP contains the tracks “Load”, “The cave we are afraid to enter”as well as the recently revealed “We are the dead” with guest singers Alex terrible (Slaughter should prevail) And Tom Barber (CHELSEA GRINS, DARKO).

“Ahead Through Storms” was produced by the guitarist Phil Sgrosso And Hiram Hernandezmixed by Aaron Chaparianmastered Ted Jensen and album cover recreated by Corey Meyers.

Drummer in June 2022 Jordan Mancino announced that he would sit out WHILE I LY DYINGDue to “a number of ongoing internal issues” that “have not yet been resolved,” the tour had to be canceled.

MancinoThe announcement came less than a month after the bassist/vocalist Josh Gilbert announced that he was leaving the band. In a statement, the remaining members of WHILE I LY DYING said that Gilbert “decided to leave the group” “to pursue other musical opportunities.”

Josh was the second WHILE I LY DYING Member leaves the band in less than a year. In August 2021 guitarist Nick Hipa confirmed his exit WHILE I LY DYINGand explained that he could no longer justify being part of a “superficial pursuit” of the “history and meaning” on which the band's 2018 reunion was built.

WHILE I LY DYING Singer Tim Lambesis was convicted in 2014 for his role in a murder-for-hire plot against his estranged wife.

In May 2014 Lambesis was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to paying a San Diego police officer who posed as a hit man $1,000 to kill his wife. About two and a half years later – on December 17, 2016 – he was released from a California correctional facility and transferred to the adult probation department.

In June 2018 WHILE I LY DYING played his first show Lambesis in five years and released a new single. Lambesis He also acknowledged his crimes in a lengthy apology to the band Facebook page after his release.

The return of WHILE I LY DYING has raised some questions, especially since then Hipa categorically condemned the band's disgraced frontman as a “sociopathic narcissist in desperate need of rehabilitation” in a social media post back in 2014.

In September 2021, WHILE I LY DYING released a new song called “Roots below” This was originally a leftover B-side from the sessions for “Formed by Fire”.
