Eagles vs. Browns Predictions for Week 6 of the NFL Season – NBC Sports Philadelphia

The Eagles (2-2) host the Browns (1-4) at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Let's get to the predictions:

Ruben Frank (0-4)

You couldn't pick a better opponent for the Eagles than the Browns, who rank last in the NFL in most offensive categories, have yet to score more than 18 points in a game and have scored just seven touchdowns all year. For an Eagles team that has been extremely inconsistent on both ends and suddenly finds itself in a very competitive division, an opponent like the Browns should be a chance to do a lot of things right. The Eagles are 8½-point favorites and are 17-3 since 2012 when ahead by at least 8½ points. Then again, nothing would surprise us with this Eagles team. After watching them blow a game against the Falcons in the final seconds and then fall behind 24-0 without a fight in Tampa, it's hard to have much confidence in the Eagles against anyone. You just have to win this game. A home loss to the Browns after a bye week with AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith and Lane Johnson back and healthy wouldn't be the end of the world. But it would be awfully close.

Dave Zangaro (1-3)

While a bye week in Week 5 is extremely early, it came at a good time for the Eagles. They used the week off to get some of their key players healthier and will come into this game with an offense with all of their weapons. After watching the offense in Tampa, this will be a welcome sight. Although the Browns have a solid defense under old friend Jim Schwartz, the Eagles should have the firepower to put up points.

But even if there is some work to be done on offense, the Browns' offense is even worse. Deshaun Watson was one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL and his play and contract handcuffs the entire organization. The Browns offense is completely inept, so this could be a good game for an Eagles defense that had a lot of ups and downs early in the season. Watson has already been sacked 26 times, so the Eagles should be in a better position to generate some pressure in this one. If they can't do that, then that's a big problem.

Eagles 24, Browns 14

Barrett Brooks (1-3)

The Eagles come into this game healthier than they were at the start of the season. All of their best players are back in the squad. This makes the predictions a little more manageable. The Birds have always been an offense-led team. To beat them, they had to outperform their teams. This defense will continue to be this team's Achilles heel. Vic Fangio has a very young team on this side. For this team to win, turnovers must be erased. Jalen Hurts has to protect the ball. Saquon Barkley must remain the centerpiece of the Birds' offense even with AJ Brown back.

Defensively, they need to put pressure on Deshaun Watson. Hopefully they returned to basic football. From this game onwards the focus must be on tackling and execution to get back on track. I really don't care what the Browns bring to this game. They're headed to Lincoln Financial Field and the Eagles need to dominate this Browns team!

Eagles 28, Browns 10

Mike Mulhern (2-2)

The Eagles played at full strength this season, defeating a Packers team that many had a ticket to another strong playoff run. You wouldn't want to blame everything that happened in the next three games on injury, but it definitely played a big role. AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith and Lane Johnson take on a Browns team that looks lifeless. Deshaun Watson's albatross contract is putting a strain on the entire franchise and until they bench him, their outlook for this season won't change. The bye week came at the perfect time for an Eagles team that needed a fresh start. The Browns appear a week later at the perfect time.

Eagles 27, Browns 13
