Elon Musk, who knew about Diddy's claims even though he invested in X and called the mogul a “friend.”

Elon Musk has come under fire for wondering aloud which prominent figures knew about the widespread abuse allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs, even though Musk counted the mogul as an investor and friend.

In response to the latest round of accusations against Combs, Musk hit out

“How many people in the music and entertainment industry knew about this?” Musk asked his followers on October 1st.

Many were quick to point out Musk's own ties to Combs, who was arrested by federal agents on racketeering and sex trafficking charges and has denied wrongdoing.

“Hmmm, maybe you could have asked him when he invested in your Twitter deal,” Mac wrote on X in response to the tweet.

“How many times have you met Diddy?” asked Luke Zaleski, legal affairs editor at Condé Nast.

“There's literally a photo of you with Ghislaine Maxwel,” music critic Anthony Fantano added, referring to the late Jeffrey Epstein's key ally. Maxwell and Musk were photographed together in 2014, years after Epstein reached a plea deal with Florida prosecutors over allegations that he sexually abused dozens of girls.

A fund affiliated with Combs is an investor in X, according to a list of backers submitted to federal court in August.

According to the new book, Musk also once bragged that he and Combs were good friends Character limitfrom New York Times Reporters Kate Conger and Ryan Mac.

The claim reportedly came during a meeting where an executive at Revolt TV, a media company founded by Combs, expressed concern about growing racism on X.

“'I don't know if you know this, but Puff is an investor in Twitter,' (Musk) said, using a nickname for Combs,” the book says. “'You know, he's a good friend of mine. We write a lot.'”

The Independent asked Musk for comment.

Federal prosecutors allege Combs was the architect and leader of a “criminal enterprise” that allegedly engaged in arson, kidnapping, forced labor, bribery, obstruction of justice and sex trafficking.

Police say they seized assault rifles with defaced serial numbers, narcotics and “more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricants” from Combs' apartments that were allegedly used in exploitative situations that the mogul referred to as “freak offs.”

Regardless, numerous women have accused the mogul of sexual misconduct.

News outlets obtained a leaked video of Diddy brutally beating his then-girlfriend, singer Cassie, in a hotel hallway. He later apologized.
