Ex-NFL star faces criticism for saying he won the Super Bowl with Trump as president but went bankrupt under Biden and Harris

Antonio Brown – formerly a star wide receiver in the NFL – is drawing some criticism of X for his claim that he won a Super Bowl when Donald Trump was president but went bankrupt under the current administration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris be .

One user noted that Biden was actually the President of the United States when Brown won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brown's Buccaneers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl on February 7, 2021 and Biden was sworn in as president a few weeks earlier on January 20.

Brown then responded by explaining that championships are not won in one day and suggesting that Trump was in office for most of the season in question.

Brown was nearing the end of his NFL career as the 2020 season began, and he was some time removed from his days with the Steelers, when he seemingly posed a constant threat to lead the league in receiving yards.

But he was still solid in eight regular-season games and four starts in the 2020 regular season, as he totaled 483 receiving yards, four receiving touchdowns and 27 receiving first downs. He also made an impact in the playoffs with two touchdowns.

The Buccaneers finished the regular season with an 11-5 record, the second-best record of any team in the NFC South Division behind the 12-4 New Orleans Saints. Tampa Bay then won each of its four playoff games, securing its first Super Bowl in nearly two decades and the second in franchise history.

The team was led by someone widely considered the best quarterback to ever play in the NFL: Tom Brady. Brady was also near the end of his pro career, but unlike Brown, he didn't show many signs of his age this season. He started in each of Tampa Bay's 16 regular-season games and then threw for 1,061 yards and 10 touchdowns during the team's Super Bowl run.
