Florida football quarterback DJ Lagway releases hurricane relief trading card

The trading card industry has boomed in recent years, and Florida Gators quarterback DJ Lagway is using the hobby's rising popularity to do some good in the wake of the Sunshine State's recent natural disaster.

Leaf Trading Cards “has partnered with DJ Lagway to support relief efforts, with 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this card being donated to the Florida Disaster Fund,” the product description on the sales page states.

Fans can purchase the $10 tickets through October 17th using the hyperlink above.

Lagway isn't the only college athlete taking part in the relief effort. Miami quarterback Cam Ward and wide receiver Samuel Brown Jr. also released cards with the same 100 percent donation policy.

Lagway in Florida

DJ Lagway has only played four games for Florida, but the true freshman has already made a name for himself in Gainesville.

The former five-star recruit debuted in Week 2 against Samford and set a school record among freshmen with 456 passing yards and three touchdowns in that game. Lagway took on a backup role once Graham Mertz got healthy, but Billy Napier has made it clear that the newcomer will get regular playing time every week.

In four appearances, Lagway has completed 69.1% of his passes for 667 yards and four touchdowns.
