Gigi Hadid opens Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2024 at Whopping Wings

Gigi Hadid made her highly anticipated return to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show runway, opening the event in New York on Tuesday, marking her fourth appearance for the brand. Hadid kicked off the show in an unforgettable look, complete with her signature angel wings. It was the supermodel's first time walking the Victoria's Secret runway since 2018.

For her opening look, Hadid chose a soft, feminine aesthetic. She wore a pink satin bodysuit with a plunging neckline and ruched details at the waist, accented with delicate crystal embellishments.

The focal point of her outfit was Victoria's Secret's iconic angel wings. The oversized feathered wings were created in a floating, ethereal design and then finished off with a pair of Rene Caovilla heels.

The ensemble followed an energetic performance from Blackpink's Lisa, which set the tone for Hadid's grand entrance. Hadid wore her short hair styled in a bob behind her ears and completed the look with subtle makeup that accentuated her natural features.

Ahead of the event, Hadid shared her excitement on Instagram and reflected on her journey with the brand. “After today’s rehearsal, I can confirm that it will forever feel like a dream come true,” she wrote. “As I look back at some of my favorite VS Show moments over the years, I'm so excited to do it again tomorrow, with the most incredible, dedicated and creative VS team and with so many women that I love and some I grew up with. It’s an honor.”

Hadid's return to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show runway continues her long-standing relationship with the brand, which began in 2015. As the founder of Guest In Residence, Hadid has also made waves in the fashion industry with her focus on knitwear and sustainable designs.

After a six-year hiatus, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is back. The 2024 spectacle will air live on Prime Video and on the brand's YouTube, Instagram and TikTok channels. Former Angels like Tyra Banks, Alessandra Ambrosio and Taylor Hill will walk the runway alongside new faces like Paloma Elsesser and Devyn Garcia. Cher, Tyla and Lisa from Blackpink are the musical guests of the evening.
