Singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams just performed at the MGM Music Hall in Fenway and felt at home in front of a sold-out crowd.

“Boston, thank you very much. I love you from the bottom of my heart,” Abrams told the crowd. “Being here with all of you feels like home. New England is home.”

Abrams, who is currently touring in support of her latest album, “The Secret of Us,” recently ran into trouble with a vocal injury that caused her to have to cancel some shows. However, in Boston, Abrams had a successful performance, happily singing her hits while decked out in a Boston Red Sox hat.

Is Gracie Abrams from Boston?

While the singer feels at home in Boston, Abrams isn't from Beantown. The daughter of “Star Wars” and “Star Trek” filmmaker JJ Abrams, she was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. However, Abrams developed a special relationship with New England, often visiting her mother's family in Maine during her childhood, where her family traveled after flying to Boston.

“You really feel at home here. A lot of my family is from this part of town,” Abrams said during the show. “Boston was not only a super important place in my life, just as a kid, with my family and everything, but some of my favorite shows we've ever played were here.”

Abrams often mentions the city in her songs, including “Tough Love,” which Abrams dedicated to the Boston audience, and “Augusta,” which she performed as a surprise song.

Towards the end of the show, Abrams brought out the opening act and the Maine-born role model to sing “Feels Like.” Back in July, Abrams performed “Everywhere, Everything” with New Englander Noah Kahan at Fenway Park. Both Kahan and Abrams were overjoyed to play the legendary New England venue. Kahan called it the “best night of his life” and Abrams called it “one of her greatest moments.”
