Halsey looks like Dolly Parton in the first teaser for “Great Imitator.”

Halsey is literally the greatest impersonator.

As the star prepares to release his album, The great imitatorLater that month, she revealed on Instagram that leading up to the drop, she'll be “embodying a different icon each day and teasing a snippet of the song she inspired.”

The first icon is Dolly Parton, as Halsey is seen recreating Parton's 1987 Rainbow Album cover. The resemblance is uncanny as Halsey wears a big, curly blonde wig while lounging on the floor in the same outfit and makeup look as Parton.

Check out the recovery here. Halsey also noted that Parton inspired the track “Hometown” on her upcoming album, a stripped-back acoustic track that you can hear a teaser of here.

Arriving on October 25th, The great imitator will mark Halsey's fifth studio album. It follows 2021 If I can't have love, I want powerwhich reached number 2 on the Billboard 200. The star described the project as deeply personal, saying: “I made this record in the time between life and death, and it feels like I've been waiting an eternity for it.” The album also includes those before it released singles “The End”, “Lucky” and “Lonely Is the Muse”.

Halsey previously confirmed that the album will traverse different decades and musical styles, with the “Closer” singer revealing multiple variations of it The great imitatorThe cover was inspired by different time periods through a fan scavenger hunt earlier this month.
