Houston has another chance for record heat on Monday

A cold front is approaching on Monday evening

Temperatures on Monday will still be above average in the mid and upper 90s ahead of the cold front.
Monday:

HOUSTON – Sunday's high temperature of 94°C tied the 1928 record. On Monday we could see another day of record highs, which will be challenged by a cold front. Temperatures Monday morning will be in the upper 60s to low 70s. They reached highs in the mid-90s in the afternoon.

Lots of sunshine and 90s in southeast Texas
Cold front approaching:

Temperatures will rise from the upper 90s to the upper 80s behind the front. However, it will not rain from the front.

Temperatures on Monday will still be above average in the mid and upper 90s ahead of the cold front.
Cooler air arrives on Tuesday

The big change will be the humidity. The front pulls moisture out of the air, making it comfortable to wear, at least until Thursday.

It's still humid for me on Monday
The moist air becomes dry.
On the trail of the tropics:

Here's what's happening NOW: We are monitoring Hurricane Milton Milton, which is expected to strengthen as it moves across the Gulf of Mexico. As Milton moves east, it will continue to gain strength and has the potential to strengthen into a Category 3 storm when it reaches the Florida Peninsula midweek.

Hurricane Milton continues to strengthen in the Gulf of Mexico and is becoming a major hurricane.
Milton will move further into the Atlantic and will likely impact Bermuda through the weekend.
10 day forecast:

The heat and humidity will continue Monday, then temperatures will drop into the 60s for morning lows and the upper 80s for daytime highs. If you're looking for something cooler, you'll have to wait. There won't be a major cold front anytime soon, but we're always on guard! Don't worry, we expect it to cool down at some point this month.

Sunny route with cooler temperatures
