Get ready, golf fans, because the new PGA Tour Champions event is just around the corner. Yes, the SAS Championship will be held at the Prestonwood Country Club at 300 Prestonwood Pkwy. The event starts on October 11th and ends on October 13th. Fans are over the moon as the three day event not only brings the thrill of the game but also great players like Marco Dawson, Glen Day, John Senden and Charlie Wi!

Dawson and Day will enter the tournament at 10:20 a.m. EDT, so make sure you have your tickets. Oh wait, don't you? Well, there is also a way for you to enjoy the exciting event from the comfort of your couch!

One thing for golf fans is that they can always find a way to watch a tournament if they really want to, whether it's on any channel or surfing YouTube to find live broadcasts. The good thing is that the PGA Tour has some of the best channels covering the sport. So let's get to the point. Fans have two options to choose from here: Golf Channel and NBC. The latter covers all of the game's swings and putts every three days from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. EDT.

But if you miss these lessons, don't worry because Golf Channel is here to help! GC will be covering the action at Prestonwood Country Club Friday through Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EDT. So is there anything else you should know? Well, there definitely is.

There's more to the fantastic golf tournament taking place at Prestonwood Country Club than many fans might realize. First of all, I bet you didn't know that the course selected for the SAS Championship is a challenging 7,237-yard par-72 course designed specifically to test the skills of veterans to provide. This year's field consists of 79 talented players vying for the trophy and top spot.

But does the winner get more than just a trophy? Yes! Aside from the trophy, the total prize money is $2,100,000, with the winner taking home a whopping $315,000, according to the PGA Tour's official website. Rod Pampling, who emerged victorious in the 2023 SAS Championship, returns as defending champion and looks to regain his title.

Prestonwood Country Club has had some of the best performances in the past and there are some amazing records too. For example, Fred Couples holds the record for low 18-hole score after scoring an incredible 60 in the 2022 final round.
