Hulu + Live TV outage impacts wild ALCS finish

Services like cable TV, YouTube TV, or Hulu + Live TV come at such a high price that it's safe to assume they'll work if you want them to.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for Hulu + Live TV customers on Thursday night. It appears that a widespread outage affected Hulu + Live TV subscribers during a major live sports evening that included an ALCS game between the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Guardians that went into extra innings, an NLCS game between the New York Mets and the Los Angeles Dodgers. and a college football game between Virginia Tech and Boston College.

It's honestly so funny for Hulu to run ads saying “Hulu has live sports” only to crash and make us miss a walk-off home run in the 10th inning, lol

Hulu Live TV crashed during the MLB playoffs on the same day the price was raised to $83/month.

They're practically begging everyone to go to YouTube TV

It appears the outage came at the worst possible time for baseball fans, who appeared to have missed the dramatic walk-off home run that ended Game 3 of the ALCS. It also looks like it was still dark for fans well into the middle of the NLCS.

In response to angry customers on social media, Hulu responded with a standard response.

It's important to remember that Hulu's marketing executives, who agreed to the slogan “Hulu has live sports,” are starting to regret that decision. On the bright side, at least Yankees fans didn't actually have to witness their team's epic collapse.
