India recorded their highest win in the history of the Women's T20 World Cup

NEW DELHI: India's women's cricket team created history on Wednesday by registering their biggest ever win in one Women's T20 World Cupdefeat Sri Lanka by 82 runs in Dubai.
This record-breaking win surpassed the previous best of 79 runs and showed the team's dominance in the tournament.
India set Sri Lanka a challenging target of 173 runs, fueled by outstanding performances from their top batters Smriti Mandhana (50), Shafali Verma (43) and a record-breaking unbeaten fifty from captain Harmanpreet Kaur (52* from 27 balls).
The bowlers followed up with an ice-cold performance, dismantling Sri Lanka's batting line-up with precision. The 82-run win is now India's biggest margin of victory in Women's T20 World Cup history and highlights its strength and growth in the shortest format of the game.

India had another remarkable performance against Sri Lanka in Basseterre in 2010. In this encounter, India claimed a 71-run win, outclassing Sri Lanka with both bat and ball. The bowlers took advantage of the pressure built up by the batters to claim the overall win.
