“For a while I had superstitions,” Nedoroscik said. “I used to not listen to certain songs, I always wore the same underwear. But in 2021, when I didn’t make the Olympic team, I decided we’re just going to destroy all superstitions.”

Stephen Nedoroscik is an Olympic gymnast from Worcester who is competing on this season of “Dancing with the Stars.” He began his training at the Sterling Academy of Gymnastics.

He won two bronze medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, including one in the team all-around and one in his specialty, the pommel horse.

The 25-year-old went viral on the Internet during the Olympics with his pre-competition meditation ritual and gained fame as a result.

The gymnast also suffers from two eye diseases that affect his vision and require him to wear glasses.
