Sometimes the stars are not like us. This is the case with Jessica Chastain, who thought it wise to link her problem to JetBlue on social media. You might be thinking: Well, sometimes you have to tweet at an airline to get their attention. Were their bags lost? Your flight has been delayed indefinitely? Was she served poison instead of tomato juice? NO! Her television didn't work.

In a now-deleted post on X, Chastain referred to JetBlue ironically in her complaint. “Thank you @JetBlue for your $15.00 credit. My flight was $1,500 and the credit is 1/100th of the money I paid you,” Chastain wrote. “Strange that I paid that for your in-flight entertainment system that didn’t work during my 6 hour flight, but I think it was worth it for that $15 credit.”

After JetBlue's official account responded and asked her to direct message, she shared a screenshot of her conversation with an online customer service representative. The rep told her the $15 loan was repayment for the television outage, and the Oscar winner doubled his contribution.

“I understand, but I spent $1,500 on the flight and so did my husband,” she told the representative. “There should be some flight credit or something since I have a TrueBlue account and I'm a loyal customer.” The actress was told that the $15 flight credit she received was actually the flight credit, that she had asked for and that there was nothing else she could do.

A cross-country flight without watching Crazy rich Asians is not something I would wish on any star actor. That being said, Chastain — who is currently asking $7.45 million for her New York apartment — should know better than to complain about it in a public forum. Not because all famous people should keep their financial gripes to themselves, but because a few months ago she was specifically called out for complaining about out-of-touch rich ladies.

In August, Chastain asked her followers for recommendations for food delivery services other than Uber Eats in another now-deleted post. She had ordered through the app twice in one day (which I think cost about $10,000 when you factor in fees), and both times she had a bad experience. “You caught me twice today. Lunch took an hour and a half after I chose from the 30 minute ordering window. Then at dinner I ordered a 30 minute delivery again, waited over an hour and then was told the delivery was canceled,” she wrote. “I literally CAN’T do anything more with this app.” So what’s good, guys?”

I think it's time for Ms. Jessica Chastain to stop posting. It doesn't do her any favors. She should just go off and be fabulously rich in peace and maybe even think about becoming a Delta loyalist.
