Liam Payne's ex Maya Henry accused him of compulsive contact days before his death

Liam Payne's ex Maya Henry reportedly accused the former One Direction singer of repeatedly contacting her and her family members days before his death.

The model's lawyers filed a cease-and-desist letter to her ex-fiancé on her behalf, the Daily Mail reported on Monday.

“Maya Henry issued a cease and desist letter to Liam Payne last week after new and concerning information emerged,” her legal team told the outlet.

“She has appointed lawyers Marco Crawford and Daniel Cerna to represent her. This is their only comment on the matter at this time.”

Page Six has reached out to Henry's rep for comment.

Earlier this month, the 23-year-old claimed in a TikTok video that Payne went to several extremes to contact her following their acrimonious split, including “arming” his fan base against her.

“Since we broke up, he's been sending me messages and calling my phone, not just from his phone number, but always from different phone numbers, so I never know where it's coming from,” Henry claimed.

“He'll create new iCloud accounts to send me an iMessage – it's always a damn new iCloud account. Every time I see one on my phone I think, 'Here we go again.'”

She further claimed, “Also, (he) will email me…not just me, but he will blow up my mom's phone. “Is this normal behavior for you?”

The former couple began dating in 2018 after Payne broke up with Cheryl Cole.

He proposed to Henry in 2020, but they ended their engagement in April 2022 after she claimed he cheated on her.

Payne died on Wednesday at the age of 31 after reportedly falling from the third floor of his hotel room in Argentina.

Multiple witnesses at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires confirmed the fall to TMZ, which reported the singer's body was discovered on the hotel's wooden deck.

It remains unclear whether the fall was accidental or intentional.
