Linkin Park replaces itself at number 1

Linkin Park has been on an incredible winning streak for several weeks. The band's recently announced comeback has been met with (almost) nothing but positive applause from fans who have championed the two songs the group has released so far.

Just weeks after releasing “The Emptiness Machine,” their first newly composed single in more than half a decade, Linkin Park delivered another song. “Heavy is the Crown” is out now billboard It hits the charts, swapping places with the band's other recent hit, as the following appears to rush to anything the rockers release.

“Heavy is the Crown” debuts at No. 1 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart this week. The track is the Grammy winners' latest song to immediately dominate billboards List of the best-selling hard rock tracks in the country, taking control of the list from another very well-known track.

Last week, “The Emptiness Machine” had the same outcome. Now it slips down one spot to No. 2, only dethroned by an even more recent Linkin Park smash.

“Heavy is the Crown” marks the band’s 11th No. 1 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart and their second consecutive winner. It's also one of the group's 26 top-10 smashes on the list, which is now down to just 10 spots.

In addition to “Heavy is the Crown” and “The Emptiness Machine,” LP currently manages to score another hit in the list of songs focused on hard rock purchases. “In the End,” the track that introduced the pioneering collective to millions of listeners around the world more than two decades ago, rises one notch to No. 7.

“Heavy is the Crown” was released in the middle of a tracking week, meaning it had less time to drive streams and sales, which determine where it sits on the rankings billboard counts. However, that didn't stop the single from selling so well that it landed on several charts, including the one that dominates it. Luminate reports that the song was purchased by 2,200 fans in the US in the first full tracking period, and that number is expected to increase significantly in a few days.
