Live Updates: Trump Attends Charity Dinner, Harris Campaigns Ahead of Election Day

The Trump campaign launched a new TV ad this week that echoes Vice President Kamala Harris' comment on “The View” last week when she said that “I can't think of anything” about something she did differently over time would have been President Biden last four years.

The new ad begins with a focus on illegal immigration and shows clear images of crowds near a border wall. “A flood of illegals, skyrocketing prices, global chaos – and Kamala wouldn’t change a thing,” the ad’s narrator begins.

The ad then replays the clip from “The View,” with host Sunny Hostin asking Harris, “In the last four years, would you have done anything differently than President Biden?” Harris replies, “I can't think of anything.”

The ad's narrator continues: “With Kamala nothing will change, more weakness, more war, more welfare for illegals and more taxes.” Only President Trump has cut taxes on the middle class, and only President Trump will do it again .”

Harris' response on “The View” was immediately seized upon by GOP critics who wanted to cement the tie between the vice president and the outgoing incumbent while President Biden's approval ratings remained stuck underwater.

The ad, which aired Wednesday, is the Trump campaign's first on television to capitalize on this moment — and in just a day and a half since it first aired, the campaign has already brought in more than $4 million, according to AdImpact data. with runs in key swing states ranging from $500,000 to $1 million (highest in Georgia, more than $900,000 to date).
