Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. was ruled out of the team's game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday due to a concussion.

After an incomplete pass in the second quarter, the rookie's head collided with the leg of Packers linebacker Isaiah McDuffie. Harrison briefly stood up before collapsing on the field. With the help of Arizona medical staff, he was able to get back on his feet and walk.

Harrison was targeted twice before exiting the contest and finished with zero catches.

Losing Harrison is a blow to the Cardinals' offense, which was already struggling to move the ball through the air when he was available and had the eighth-worst passing attack in the league entering Sunday's game.

After a standout college career at Ohio State that included a fourth-place finish in the 2023 Heisman Trophy voting, Arizona selected the 22-year-old No. 4 overall in the 2024 draft.

Harrison's NFL career didn't get off to a good start, as he only had one catch for four yards in the Cardinals' season opener. He recovered quickly, catching 16 balls for 275 yards in his next four appearances.

Harrison has also scored four touchdowns in five career games, the most among any rookie receiver this season.

He remained relatively healthy early in his inauguration campaign. Harrison appeared on Arizona's injury report only before the team's Week 4 loss to the Washington Commanders due to an indirect issue, but he had no game status prior to the match and was able to work himself back into fitness.

Kyler Murray will likely rely on several players to replace his production, including Trey McBride, Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch.

Harrison's first opportunity to clear concussion protocol and return will be in Week 7 when the Cardinals host the Los Angeles Chargers Monday Night Football.
