Maxx Crosby makes it clear he won't be traded anywhere, period

As for the rampant speculation surrounding EDGE Maxx Crosby's possible move to the Las Vegas Raiders, it's time for Detroit Lions fans to heed Van Halen's words.

“Dream another dream, this dream is over.”

While Lions fans on social media almost demanded that GM Brad Holmes make a trade for Crosby, that isn't happening.

In the 90-second clip, Crosby effectively insults anyone who thinks he wants to leave Las Vegas and points out any false speculation about possible deals.

“I need to hear about these clowns talking online and on the Pat McAfee Show saying, 'There's something going on.' They speak for me and say I should stay on the sidelines when I have a high ankle sprain,” Crosby said. “These clowns are sitting in a carriage telling me what to do.”

Crosby, who played in Eastern Michigan and is from the Detroit area, became increasingly animated and excited as he continued:

“But the reality is I'm gaining mileage and trying to get it right so I can get back on the field. Everyone knows my intentions, but they try to speak for me. (expletive) If you talk to me and you know what's going on then we can talk, but don't speak on my behalf if you don't know what the fuck is going on.”

Crosby wasn't finished yet.

“These guys (Raiders teammates) know I would take a bullet for them. There are clowns online and talking…it's embarrassing. Don't speak for me. I'll speak for my boys and that's all I care about.

This bothers me because now I can take a lot of heat and do it. I've been through this. But don't talk about me if you don't know what's going on. You speak for me, or talk about the organization.”

Crosby concluded:

“Come on bro, you know where I want to be. Do you think I want to be somewhere else? I got this (expletive) tattooed on my body. I don't want to go anywhere. At the end of the day it's just funny. A lot of people have a lot to say when they really don’t know what’s going on.”

The Raiders are 2-3 after losing to the Broncos in Week 5, but are still just one game out of a playoff spot in the very turbulent AFC. Unlike his teammate Davante Adams, Crosby has never even hinted that he wants a trade.

Not that the Lions would really be interested in trading multiple first-round picks for Crosby — if he were even available for a trade. Dream another dream…
