METALLICA announce Australian and New Zealand tour with EVANESCENCE and SUICIDAL TENDENCIES

METALLICA has announced the Australia and New Zealand leg “M72” World tour.

The trek begins in Perth on November 1, 2025 at Optus Stadium and then heads to Adelaide on November 5 at the Adelaide Oval. The tour next heads to Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on November 8th, followed by Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on November 12th. The band will perform at Accor Stadium in Sydney on November 15th and conclude the tour in Auckland at Eden Park on November 19th.

Support acts for the “M72” Shows in Australia and New Zealand will take place TRANSIENCE And Suicidal tendencies.

METALLICA explains: “This is the announcement we have been wanting to make for a long time and we are beyond thrilled to have locked in a return to Australia and New Zealand in November 2025! This time we're going to go into the stadiums and watch.” We're looking forward to visiting some of our favorite cities in the world, including Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Auckland, for a total of six shows.

In support of METALLICA's latest album, “72 Seasons”As part of the festival, the band gave concerts in each city for two evenings, which will not be repeated – first in Europe, then in North America, and then again in Europe and North America “M72” Tour. Saw every concert METALLICA Performing on a huge ring-shaped stage with the snake pit in the middle and four sets of drums evenly spaced across the circular stage, i.e. the drummer Lars Ulrich can move closer to the audience at different points in the show.

Accordingly WCCO-TV, METALLICAThe touring crew consists of 156 people, with 40 steel workers, 168 local production workers and 92 truck drivers also ensuring everything runs smoothly. An additional 800 people are employed locally to support each tour stop.

Jon Michael Marinosaid the tour coordinator WCCO that there are four drum kits on stage with two backups in the truck. 64 guitars and basses go on tour, 36 of which have to be ready for use (12 per band member). 6,000 guitar picks will be used or given away per concert and only 25 drumsticks will be used or given away per performance.

METALLICA's manager Cliff Burnstein told billboard that between 80% and 90% of each concert's fans attended both shows.

The “M72” The tour starts in Amsterdam at the end of April 2023.
