Popular fitness influencer Jeff Nippard was allegedly attacked by another well-known bodybuilder while he was working out at the gym. A viral video showed him being pushed to the ground.

Nippard, a natural bodybuilder known for his science-based approach to the sport, was caught on video in an apparent confrontation with “Big” Mike Van Wyck.

The Canadian posted a photo of himself being scanned in hospital and claimed the alleged assault continued after the clip ended.

“If you have seen the video by now, I would like to clarify the incident,” Nippard wrote.

“First I just want to let you know that I had a CT scan and everything is fine.”

“In case you didn’t see it, that’s exactly what happened and there were a lot of witnesses.”

“Mike Van Wyck punched me twice in the throat in the middle of the gym and then pushed my cameraman.”

“The lie is already circulating that Mike asked me to stay away from him and that I didn't listen and reach out to him first.” This is FALSE and @puremuscleandfitness has security footage to prove it. I think they should publish it.'

Nippard went on to thank the fitness community for the overwhelming support he has received.

“I don’t know why he attacked me other than he really, really hates my training style,” he wrote.

“I certainly didn't give him a reason to hate me.” And even if I did, there's no excuse for physically attacking someone over a disagreement.
