What would your mood be like if you were playing in a championship game where it was all about the winner?

What would your mood be like if you were playing in a championship game where it was all about the winner?

I know if it were me I would be focused and completely stoic. I would have a lot of emotions, but I would channel them in a way that prepares me to just think about the game. There wasn't much cheering and certainly no chatter with the other team.

But the Minnesota Lynx's mood is much different than mine.

Minnesota will face the New York Liberty in a winner-take-all Game 5 for the WNBA title on Sunday night at 8 p.m. Earlier today, Lynx held a shootaround session at the Barclays Center in New York City and the mood among the team was great.

After one of the team members blasted a shot across half the court to end practice, she began dancing as the rest of her teammates flocked to midfield.

Again, if it were me, I would do it not I show off my dance moves, especially since I don't have any to show off. But if that's what it takes to make them feel loose, then more power to them.

The relaxed mood probably comes from the fact that all the pressure is currently on Liberty's shoulders. After all, New York was the No. 1 team in the league entering the postseason and is trying not to screw it up 2-1 lead in the series. Oh, did I mention that Liberty is also aiming for its first title in franchise history?

Of course, a relaxed mood eight hours before the game starts is no guarantee that the game will have an impact on the actual game. But it's definitely a good start for the Lynx as they head into an exciting fifth game.
