MLB Playoffs Odds, Predictions, Schedule for Friday: Yankees at Guardians ALCS Game 4, Dodgers at Mets NLCS Game 5

The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking like a juggernaut again and are now just one win away from reaching the World Series. The Dodgers are also considered favorites (-135) to win the World Series at BetMGM.

The Dodgers lead the New York Mets 3-1 in the NLCS and have a chance to clinch the pennant in Game 5 on Friday. LA won Game 4 10-2, a third blowout win for the Dodgers in the series after winning Game 1 9-0 and Game 3 8-0.

The Mets are looking for answers to stop a Dodgers lineup that didn't even have Freddie Freeman in Game 4. Freeman or not, the Dodgers still have Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts, who was 4-for-6 with a home run Thursday. Oh, and Max Muncy reached base in 12 consecutive plate appearances.

Going home wasn't the solution for the Mets, but it gave Cleveland a boost in Game 3 of the ALCS on Thursday. The Guardians entered the series with a 7-5 win that will be talked about for a long time in Cleveland.

Cleveland led 3-1 in the eighth before back-to-back home runs by Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton gave the Yankees the lead. Then Cleveland won after two out home runs in the ninth and tenth innings. Jhonkensy Noel's first was undoubtedly a pinch hit in the ninth that sent the game into extra innings. David Fry's second won the game in the 10th.

The Guardians need more heroics to win this series. The Yankees are up 2-1 and appear to have a lead in the starting pitching matchup for Game 4. Luis Gil (15-7, 3.50 ERA) is ahead for the Yankees against Gavin Williams (3-10, 4.86 ERA). Neither Gil nor Williams have pitched yet this postseason, so it's likely that the bullpens will have to carry a heavy load for both teams.

Here's a look at The Bat X's odds and predictions for Friday's ALCS and NLCS games.

Another note: If you see old data or the tables don't appear, you may need to “hard refresh” this page or an ad blocker or other software is blocking the tables from loading.
