Michael Jordan – 11 scoring titles

This is a record that will likely stand for some time, if not forever. Among active players, Kevin Durant (5) and James Harden (4) have accomplished this feat multiple times and are not even halfway to MJ's point total. Jordan won the scoring title in his third NBA season and was not dethroned in any of the following six seasons. He demonstrated the continued greatness of Jordan's scoring ability, also winning the scoring title in his final season with the Bulls (1996-98). His most productive season was 1990, when Jordan averaged an absurd 33.6 points per game.

Wilt Chamberlain – 7 scoring titles

Wilt the Stilt was on top of his game, winning MVP, Rookie of the Year and the scoring title in his debut season. Chamberlain emerged as one of the top scorers in league history, adding more goalscoring titles to his list in each of his first six seasons. His highest-scoring season is also the highest-scoring season in league history, as Chamberlain averaged 50.4 points per game. He added another goalscoring title in 1966.

Kevin Durant – 5 scoring titles

KD has the most NBA titles among active players. Durantula has been a scoring machine since his rookie season at age 19, and if there weren't injury issues later in his career, it's possible Durant would win more scoring titles at this point. Durant won three consecutive scoring titles from 2010 to 2012 and added another in 2014 with the Thunder. Entering his 17th season, he is still scoring at an all-time high, having put up 27.1 points per game during the 2023-24 season.

George Gervin – 4 scoring titles

The Iceman himself is next on the list and has won four titles in his legendary playing career. Gervin helped ensure the Spurs' transition from the ABA to the NBA went smoothly by winning the scoring title in San Antonio's second NBA season. This was the first of three consecutive scoring titles for Gervin, who added another in the 1982 season. Gervin had several notable scoring outbursts, including a 63-point game against the New Orleans Jazz in 1978.

Kobe Bryant – 4 scoring titles

Kobe was a tenacious competitor who could shoot the ball at will, whether he was pulling up from three or attacking the basket for a 7-footer for a slam dunk. The Black Mamba was an 18-time All-Star during his legendary 20-year career. He led the league in points scored in four of those seasons, averaging 35.6 points per game in the 2006 season. Bryant is the player who came closest to matching Will Chamberlain's single-game scoring record when he beat the Raptors with 81 points this season. Bryant's legacy as a fierce competitor and great scorer is still reflected in the game.

James Harden – 4 scoring titles

The Beard is one of the league's most accomplished active players with 10 All-Stars, four scoring titles and an MVP heading into '16. Harden has one 61-point game and three seasons of average scoring over 30 points per game. He's one of the great shooters in an era where 3-point shooting has become more and more an integral part of offenses around the league. His 378 made 3s in 2019 are the second-most ever in a season, behind only Steph Curry's 402 in 2016.
