The perfect date night outfit can be more of an elusive idea than a tangible concept, but romantic comedy fans are calling Kristen Bell's chic ensemble in Nobody Wants This the ideal ensemble — and it can be purchased for just $50.

The ten-part Netflix series with Adam Brody and Kristen Bell, both 44, comes from author Erin Foster, daughter of David Foster and stepdaughter of Katharine McPhee.

The series – currently number one on the streaming service – tells an enchanting story about a couple, Noah (Brody) and Joanne (Bell), who fall in love and overcome significant religious differences, as the former is a rabbi and the latter is an agnostic.

While fans rave about the series for its charming storyline and praise it for bringing back the romantic comedy, Joanna's outfits are also praised for creating the perfect date night look with a casual-chic $50 top perfect.

The scene in question takes place in episode one, where Joanne meets Noah for the first time at a friend's dinner party. She takes off her large fur coat (which belongs to her grandmother and is not real, she assures guests) to reveal her sexy black outfit. Shoulder top.

Fans of the series loved the top worn by Joanne, played by Kristen Bell, which is available at Abercrombie and Fitch for $50

The top, which crosses front and front, has sheer sleeves, giving it a seductive evening look that she paired with black jeans and a belt.

As for “jeans and a nice top,” Joanne’s character seems to have nailed it; wows viewers with a series of effortless date night outfits.

Avid TikTok users spotted the Abercrombie & Fitch top, dubbed a long-sleeve, off-the-shoulder wrap mesh bodysuit, which was currently on sale for $34.99 (down from $60), but has since sold out.

The brand also makes a similar design, the Long Sleeve Foldover Mesh Bodysuit, which retails for $50.

The semi-sheer look was a hit with those craving the perfect casual yet sexy look, and fans are raving about the affordable offering.

“This is the perfect first date fit,” one user explained. “Then the top is so sexy without being too revealing.”

“I wore something very similar on my first date with my boyfriend and now we live together.” “Fact,” chimed in a second.

“Off-the-shoulder tops are the sexiest thing ever,” said another.

“Nobody Wants This” debuted on Netflix last week. Bell plays Joanne, who is passionately looking for love and then talks about all her bad dates on the podcast she shares with her sister Morgan (Justine Lupe).

Things get more complicated when Joanne meets Noah (Brody), who is on the verge of getting engaged to Rebecca (Emily Arlook) after realizing that the relationship was something she and his family wanted, but he didn't.

Noah is a rabbi and tells Joanne that there is nothing worse for his professional image than falling in love with a shiksa – which, according to Brody's character in the series, is a “Yiddish insult meaning you are unclean and despicable, but these days “That's just how it is.” “You're a hot, blonde non-Jew.”

So begins the quirky plot and fiery chemistry between the leads as they navigate their two worlds and fall in love.
