NFL Insider Provides Important Update on Tua Tagovailoa's Return

The Miami Dolphins have been without quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for several weeks after the veteran suffered another concussion during a game against the Buffalo Bills. Since Tua's loss, the Dolphins have also had a number of additional problems at quarterback, particularly because backup Skylar Thompson was also injured.

Now, as they face the Tennessee Titans in Week 4, things seem uncertain. However, NFL insider Tom Pelissero remains updated on Tua's recovery and recently provided fans with another update; This one seems to be as positive as possible.

appearance The Rich Eisen ShowPelissero was asked about Tua's current condition and mentioned the fact that the Dolphins' quarterback was with the team for their Week 3 game against the Seattle Seahawks.

“He made that trip (to Seattle). The doctors have cleared him to fly,” Pelissero said.

He then talked about what doctors had recently told him and how it will impact his everyday life and ultimately his return to the field.

“The short version of what they told him is, 'If you're feeling good, do all your normal activities except football stuff.'

“And that’s what Tua wants. He wants to be committed. He attended meetings. He was on the sidelines… that's consistent with what we've reported, which is that Tua intends to be back on the field at some point in the future and possibly later this season,” the insider concluded.

Even in the early stages of Tua's recent injury, the plan seemed to be that he would try to get back on the field this season. Of course, there were different opinions on this topic, but none of them really mattered. After all, this is all about Tagovailoa.

However, now that the initial scares are a few weeks away, things seem to be looking up. The Dolphins didn't try to trade a quarterback; Instead, he simply signed veteran Tyler Huntley. That should speak volumes about their plans at the position and how they hope for Tua to return sometime in 2024.

However, it is still far from clear whether he will come back this season or not. Tua still has a long way to go, but recent signs and reports should be encouraging not only for Tua himself, but for every Dolphins fan keeping up with his situation.
