And then there was one.

The Kansas City Chiefs are the only undefeated team in the NFL after a 28:18 victory over the San Francisco 49ers at Levi's Stadium. The Chiefs defense terrorized Brock Purdy, who threw three interceptions in the game. It didn't help San Francisco's cause when Deebo Samuel came down with an illness the Sunday before the game and only played three games. Additionally, Brandon Aiyuk left the game just 37 seconds before halftime with a knee injury. The Chiefs racked up 184 rushing yards in the win.

Things went smoothly in Washington for the Commanders, who made short work of the Panthers with a 40-7 win, but the game could be more of what Washington lost. Jayden Daniels left the game with a rib injury on the Commanders' first drive. He will have further tests done on Monday.

In Los Angeles, the Rams beat the Raiders 20:15. Kyren Williams scored two rushing touchdowns for Los Angeles in the win. The Raiders lost starting quarterback Adian O'Connell to a thumb injury. Gardner Minshew finished the game in his place.

The 49ers failed to convert the two-point game and remain behind by 10 with just under a minute to play. That's two rushing touchdowns on the day for Purdy.

  • Trent Williams was ejected for throwing a punch at Bryan Cook

Replay Assistance in New York stepped in to make the call

  • Mecole Hardman almost makes it on ice for Kansas City

If Mecole Hardman hadn't earned a not-so-friendly middle name from 49ers fans in the Super Bowl, maybe he would in this game. That 18-yard TD run put Kansas City ahead by 16 with 3:09 to play.

  • Purdy started in the end zone

This time it's Jaden Hicks who ends the 49ers' drive. Kansas City's defense is getting back on track, and look no further than Chris Jones on delayed pressure – defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo certainly has some creative ways to cause confusion on offense.

  • The 49ers make a big play on the outside

Brock Purdy connects with Jacob Cowing for a 41-yard play to get back into scoring position. San Francisco is still two points behind, but it would be good if they got one in this situation with the goal still to come.

  • Washington sits atop the NFC East at 5-2

  • Patrick Mahomes on fourth down and score for the TD

After a long run, a running back is often rewarded with the chance to run the ball into the end zone. Well, in this case, Mahomes called his own number after his 33-yarder early in the drive and the Chiefs are up 21-12 heading into the fourth quarter.

  • Partick Mahomes delivers another highlight reel

This went for 33 yards and will certainly be on highlight reel #15 for 2024.

  • Another Brock Purdy interception

This one comes on a third down and is due to Purdy and his receivers not being on the same page. Remember, Jauan Jennings, Brandon Ayiuk and Deebo Samuel are all out of the game. It's the second interception of the game for the Chiefs defense.

  • The Raiders defense creates a turnover to get Las Vegas back into the game

  • Chuba Hubbard brings Carolina to the board

It was a grim day for the Panthers, but after that 4-yard TD run, the bagel disappeared from the scoreboard.

  • Washington dominates against Carolina

At the end of three quarters, Washington is a complete blast as the Commanders lead the Panthers 37-0. Marcus Mariota, who replaced the injured Jayden Daniels in the first quarter, was 15 of 19 for 165 yards and two touchdowns in three quarters, and Brian Robinson Jr. has 71 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

  • Brock Purdy sneaks it for San Francisco

A clever QB sneak leads to a TD. Anders Carlson missed the PAT, giving the Chiefs a 14-12 lead.

  • Mahomes chose again

Deommodore Lenoir with a potentially game-winning play as Xavier Worthy goes down and the 49ers start with the ball just outside the red zone.

  • That's two touchdowns on the day for Kyren Williams

  • The 49ers settle for a field goal to end the first half

14-6 at halftime in San Francisco. The 49ers scored their first sustained drive of the game on their final series, but were unable to finish it inside the 10-yard line. Kansas City gets the kickoff for the second half.

  • Brandon Aiyuk lands on the field after a big hit

The 49ers were trying to score late in the first half, and Aiyuk needed help from the coaches after San Francisco made a catch to get into the red zone.

  • 49ers in business with a BIG play

Brock Purdy finds George Kittle for a big gainer – 41 yards – putting the 49ers in scoring position late in the first half.
