Padres outfielder Jurickson Profar made one of the plays of the postseason on Sunday, robbing Mookie Betts of a home run.

He celebrated by mocking the Dodgers fans and the Fox broadcast and deceiving Betts into believing that Betts' shot flew over the wall and tied the game.

The game took place in the bottom of the first inning of Game 2 of the NLDS, with the Padres taking a 1-0 lead. Betts hit a deep fly ball from Padres starter Yu Darvish toward the left stands. The wall along the foul pole in left field reaches to the chest and allowed Profar to play the ball, which ended up in the front row of the stands.

Profar jumped and leaned over the wall as Dodgers fans fought him to catch the ball. When he landed, he stared at the fans and jumped up and down. Betts began a home run trot, and the Fox broadcast put a run on the board and announced that Betts had hit a home run.

He hadn't done it. Just moments later, Profar revealed that he had actually caught the ball for an out.

Instead of a 1-1 game, the Padres held a 1-0 lead and got out of the first inning without allowing the Dodgers to score.

Profar smiled in a dugout interview with Fox's Ken Rosenthal between innings.

“That was one of my wishes,” said Profar. “I want to steal a home run, and I did that in a playoff game. It was great.”

So what did he say to the fans after he made the catch?

“I didn’t say anything,” Profar continued. “I had to fight with them to catch the ball. You hit my glove.”

It was a great play by Profar in a high-stakes playoff match. The 31-year-old All-Star made the most of the moment.

According to Russell Dorsey of Yahoo Sports, fans in the stands threw two baseballs at Profar as the Padres prepared to enter the bottom of the seventh inning with a 4-1 lead.

Profar and the Padres were not happy with what was happening and had an animated conversation with the referee team before order was restored after about a 10 to 15 minute delay.

Both teams verbally argued back and forth in a heated NLDS.
