North Dakota St. wins the Dakota Marker Game 13-9

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – The Dakota Marker has returned to Fargo thanks to a game that lived up to the hype. A drive late in the fourth quarter and a game-winning interception led North Dakota St. to its first win over South Dakota St. since 2019, a 13-9 victory.

The score was 9-7 for the Jackrabbits, the same score as at halftime, when the Bison got the ball back at their own eight-yard line with 7:14 left in the fourth quarter.

That's when Cam Miller pulled off one of the biggest drives of his college career, a 10-play, 92-yard drive that led to a 20-yard pass touchdown from Miller to RaJa Nelson.

Miller went a perfect seven-for-seven in this final round and had an impressive performance in this rivalry matchup in front of 15 NFL scouts.

But the Jackrabbits still had time to react, and South Dakota St. came across midfield needing a touchdown.

With a minute left, Logan Kopp, another senior, provided the Dakota Marker's game-winning play, surging past Mark Gronowski with 1:00 left to secure NDSU's biggest win of the season.

It is the first time since 2019 that North Dakota St. has won the Dakota Marker Game, the first win for almost every current player on the Bison roster in this matchup.

Now the Bison are trying to avoid disappointment as Valley play continues. North Dakota St. hits the road again to face Murray St. next Saturday at 1 p.m
