Oasis delights fans by announcing reunion tour for the USA, Canada and Mexico

Oasis announced Monday that their surprise reunion tour, announced last month, is expanding to the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

The tour will be the Gallagher brothers' first North American show since their split in 2009.

The legendary Britpop group, known for anthems such as “Wonderwall” and “Don't Look Back in Anger”, have announced plans to hit the stage in five major cities across the continent in 2025.

“America. Oasis is coming. “You have one last chance to prove that you have loved us all along,” the band said.

The newly added North American dates take place in Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford, New Jersey, Los Angeles and Mexico City, with American rock band Cage the Elephant scheduled to open for them.

Ticket sales in the UK last month were met with backlash after fans faced frustrating error messages, long online wait times and dynamic prices that fluctuated due to high demand.

In response, an Oasis management spokesperson announced that the dynamic pricing model used by Ticketmaster would not apply to concerts in North America.

“When unprecedented ticket demand – the entire tour could be sold many times over by the time tickets go on sale – is combined with technology that cannot meet that demand, it results in an unacceptable experience for fans,” the spokesperson said.

“We have made this decision for the North American tour to hopefully avoid a repeat of the issues fans in the UK and Ireland have recently experienced.”

Oasis' turbulent history has been marked by sibling rivalry. The Gallagher brothers' long-running feud culminated in Noel's departure shortly before a scheduled performance in Paris in 2009.

Although they have not performed together since then, both have included Oasis hits in their solo sets.

The UK tour will be the first time the brothers have played together in 15 years.

North American tickets go on sale Friday at 12 p.m. local time. Registration for presale voting is open until Tuesday at 8 a.m. Eastern Time.

Attempts to register for North American presale voting required users to answer a trivia question: “What year did Oasis last play in North America?” (The answer is 2008.)

For the UK presale, attendees were asked the name of the band's original drummer, Tony McCarroll.

Oasis' North American tour begins August 24, 2025 in Toronto before heading to Chicago on August 28.

From there, the band will play East Rutherford, New Jersey on August 31st and Los Angeles on September 6th.

The North American tour concludes with Mexico City on September 12th.
