Patriots RB Stevenson is practicing and hopes to play against the Jaguars

LONDON – New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson participated fully in practice Friday and said he is leaning toward attending the team's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at Wembley Stadium (9:30 p.m. ET, NFL Network). to participate.

Stevenson was sidelined with a foot injury and was officially listed as questionable by the team. When he suffered the injury late in an Oct. 6 loss to the Miami Dolphins, he initially said he didn't think it would keep him out of action. But then it “kind of flared up.”

Stevenson missed the team's loss to the Houston Texans last Sunday and did not take part in the team's final five practices before Friday's training at Harrow School in northwest London.

“I feel good at the moment. I had to take a few days off but I feel like I could play on Sunday,” he said after training.

Stevenson leads the Patriots with 356 rushing yards on 77 carries (4.6 average) and three touchdowns. He felt he was close to returning to practice on Thursday, the day the Patriots traveled to London after training at their home stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Joining Stevenson on the running back depth chart are five-year veterans Antonio Gibson and JaMycal Hasty.

Meanwhile, rookie quarterback Drake Maye said he is ready to play after being listed on the team's injury report for the first time this season because of his knee. Maye was fully involved in training all week.

“I feel good. The last two days I felt good while training. I'm fine now. I’m ready for Sunday,” Maye said Friday.
