Los Angeles Lakers star and NBA legend LeBron James is not only one of the greatest basketball players of all time, but is now recognized as one of the best Madden NFL 25 players in the world.

On Saturday, James posted on his Instagram Stories that he is now one of the top 100 ranked Madden players:

James played high school football and has long made his gridiron fan base known, rooting for Ohio State University and both the Cleveland Browns and Dallas Cowboys in the NFL, although he said last year that he wasn't Cowboys fan anymore.

Madden 25 was officially released on August 16, just days after James helped lead Team USA to a gold medal in men's basketball at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

While LeBron has undoubtedly been preparing for the 2024-25 NBA regular season since then, he's also had some free time to work on his Madden game and climb the rankings.

However, with the Lakers' preseason now over, it will soon be time to transition into regular season mode.

The Lakers will play their regular season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday, and it's fair to wonder whether James will have time to maintain his Madden ranking from that point forward.

Even if he doesn't make it, reaching the top 100 is a huge accomplishment considering many of the top-ranked Madden players play the game for a living and invest all of their time, energy, and resources into it.

That's not the case with James, who happens to be a 20-time NBA All-Star, four-time NBA champion, four-time NBA MVP, four-time NBA Finals MVP, and the NBA's all-time leading scorer.

Even though James turns 40 in December, he is still playing at an elite level. He was FIBA MVP at the Olympics and averaged 25.7 points, 8.3 assists and 7.3 rebounds per game in the NBA last season.

If LeBron's successes in the Olympics and Madden are any indication, he could have another big year in the NBA with the Lakers in 2024-25.
