Post Malone gets help from Blake Shelton at Nashville show

Post Malone reached another career milestone Saturday night in Nashville when he took the stage at Nissan Stadium.

Malone told the audience that Saturday's performance was his first-ever stadium appearance. He then delivered a show that no one in the audience will ever forget, including himself.

Wearing a Stoney BT shirt, Wrangler shoes, his signature blue Solo mug and camouflaged Crocks, which he only wore for one song, Malone opened the show with a finale fireworks and pyrotechnic display during his song “Wrong Ones.” , where he repeatedly thanked a crowd that exchanged words of encouragement on more than one occasion — and of course, you knew he had help.

While his new country album, “F-1 Trillion,” features dozens of duets with country singers from Lainey Wilson and Dolly Parton to Jelly Roll and Morgan Wallen, only one accompanied him on stage: Blake Shelton.

Shelton took the stage to sing “Pour Me a Drink,” but not before taking a playful dig at Malone and asking him, “Did you play any?” country Music here tonight?”

While playing songs from “F-1 Trillion,” Malone reminded the audience where his roots lie and performed some of his pop hits, including “Rockstar,” “Better Now,” “Circles” and “Sunflower.”

Here are a few more of our top moments from the two-hour-plus show full of great music, fireworks and fire.

His first special guest

Malone jumped off the stage and returned with a young girl who he picked up from the crowd. The two chatted briefly and hugged before Malone introduced “Winter” to the crowd, a 12-year-old who had apparently met Malone before.

He asked her if she would play a song with him. “You've been practicing, haven't you?” She nodded as she was handed an acoustic guitar and headphones. “Can you hear me?” The singer asked her. She nodded again and began strumming the guitar.

“Winter is going to help me play a song tonight, ladies and gentlemen,” Malone told the crowd.

The two performed a sweet rendition of “Stay,”

After the thunderous applause died down, he asked her if she wanted to say something. She took the microphone and greeted her mother and sister who were in the crowd.

Band introductions

Other highlights of the show included a nearly ten minute break from the music to introduce the band, complete with very personal, thoughtful, funny and endearing introductions from all of his musicians and singers and even a rendition of “Happy Birthday” for his bassist.

However, the band seemed a bit cramped on the small, podium-like stage compared to the rest of the stage. Malone had plenty of room to dance, but the band barely moved.

Tribute to Toby Keith

Malone asked the crowd, “Can I play you a cover song tonight?”

After explaining that Keith was an inspiration for Malone to come to Nashville and make music, he encouraged the crowd to sing along as he sang “Wish I Didn't Know Now.”

His repeated, F-bomb-filled affirmations to the crowd

Malone took several opportunities between songs to encourage the audience with reassuring messages, albeit in his trademark, cigarette in one hand, a beer in the other, and an F-bomb-laden manner.

“Don’t fucking give up,” he said from the stage. “Keep kicking ass and keep being yourself no matter what you’re going through. If there is anyone out there who feels like you are alone even in a crowded room, I just want to tell you this. “Keep being yourself.”
