High pressure will continue to maintain control of our weather over the next few days. The sun is expected to continue for the rest of the work week.

Temperatures will remain near average on Thursday. The day will start with much of the region in the 40s before warming to the upper 60s and lower 70s in the afternoon.

Temperatures will be similar on Friday, with warming expected over the weekend as temperatures approach the 80 degree mark. A cold front will move through on Monday. A few showers are possible, otherwise it will stay dry. Temperatures will reach the 60s next week.

In the tropics, Hurricane Milton made landfall near Siesta Key, Florida, around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Heavy rain, strong winds and storm surges are expected to affect the state over the next 24 hours. The storm will then move into the Atlantic and dissipate.
