RB Leipzig vs. Liverpool confirmed lineups

Liverpool face RB Leipzig in the group stage of the Champions League this evening. The Reds are currently unbeaten after playing against Italian sides Bologna and AC Milan.

Meanwhile, Marco Rose's RB Leipzig had a tough time, losing twice to Juventus and Atlético Madrid.

Despite the German team's poor start, they are currently unbeaten in the Bundesliga and are level on points with league leaders Bayern Munich.

The Reds have already played at the Red Bull Arena, in the round of 16 of the 2021 Champions League against Leipzig and won the game 2-0 thanks to goals from Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool also have a couple of former players returning to their old team, Ibrahima Konate and Dominik Szoboszlai, who both played for The Red Bulls before moving to Merseyside.

Arne Slot's team also has some players who will not take part in today's game. Diogo Jota is unavailable for selection after suffering an injury against Chelsea, Federico Chiesa is not yet fit to play and Conor Bradley also picked up a knock that will keep him out for a few weeks. Harvey Elliott and Alisson Becker remain out with long-term injuries.

This should be a great game, especially for the neutrals, as both coaches are unlikely to play it safe, especially RB Leipzig, who could really use a win to boost their Champions League campaign.
