Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has reportedly withdrawn a lawsuit against the Justice Department and the FBI over the release of documents related to the investigation into the alleged 2016 plane standoff. The altercation in question allegedly took place between Angelina and her former partner Brad Pitt.
“The parties to this action hereby agree to dismiss this action without prejudice, with each party paying its own fees and costs,” reads a statement obtained by E! News.
The lawsuit was filed in April 2022, with the plaintiff listed anonymously. NBC News had reported that the plaintiff said her then-husband “allegedly physically and verbally assaulted” her and her children aboard a plane, leaving them “permanently physically and mentally traumatized as a result of the attack.”
Later, the allegations coincided with an FBI report in which Jolie reportedly accused Pitt of assaulting her and one of her children during a flight from Europe to America on September 14, 2016. No charges were filed against Pitt, who denied allegations of abuse.
Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt on September 19, 2016. The actors were declared legally single in 2019.
On the work front, Jolie received rave reviews for her performance in Maria, while Pitt starred in the comedy thriller Wolfs alongside her close friend George Clooney.
Jolie apparently confirms her relationship with her alleged rapper boyfriend
It seems Angelina Jolie is ready to give love another chance with younger rapper Akala. The actress confirmed her relationship with him through a social media post. The two have been spotted together in New York several times. Jolie was previously married to actor Brad Pitt, but the two separated in 2016, which was followed by a long legal battle.
The 49-year-old actor posted a carousel post on Instagram that featured pictures of the Carried Away rapper and the former at an event. The post on Atelier Jolie's account began with the 40-year-old rapper attending Jolie's event and featured the actor in the latter series of images. The headline read: “Atelier Jolie welcomed Mustafa to 57 Great Jones and hosted a special listening party and panel discussion for his debut album Dunya, out now.” Join us in celebrating this stunning 12-song collection where folk meets poetry. The album is now available to stream on all platforms.” Director and actress Zoe Kravitz was also present at the event.
