Road closures in Miami-Dade for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, III Points Festival

Road closures in Miami-Dade for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, III Points Festival

MIAMI GARDENS, Florida. – As music fans flock to Miami-Dade this weekend, road closures in Miami Gardens and Wynwood are expected to make traffic difficult, particularly due to the influx of Taylor Swift concertgoers.

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour stop at Hard Rock Stadium draws a crowd of fans, including families like the Lunenfelds from New Jersey, who are attending their third Swift concert.

“Their music reminds me of being 16 again, the fear – it's nostalgic,” said Heddy Lunenfeld, who was in attendance with her two daughters, Fiona, 13, and Lexi, 9.

“It takes me back to when I was 16 and feeling all the feelings that all girls feel when they hear Taylor Swift,” Lunenfeld said.

Fiona, following in her mother's footsteps, shares the same appreciation for Swift's music.

“We grew up with her and her music is nostalgic and just really good,” she says.

The family, who just saw the Eras tour in Brazil, can't wait to enjoy the concert experience in South Florida.

Her enthusiasm was shared by many who flocked to the concerts in South Florida and filled hotels like Loews Coral Gables. Felix Llibre, sales manager of the hotel, highlighted the economic impact of the concert: “We see a huge impact on the concert when you look at the increase in occupancy compared to the same weekend last year. We have several reservations for the concert.”

Loews Coral Gables has even planned a “Swiftie Sunday Brunch” with themed cocktails, dishes and live music to cater to Swift fans staying at the hotel. “We’re really excited to sell out tonight,” Llibre added.

However, due to the influx of visitors, there will be disruption to traffic throughout the district. Motorists should prepare for closures around Hard Rock Stadium, including:

  • Turnpike on-ramps and exits

  • Northwest 199th Street between Northwest 27th Avenue and Northwest 14th Court

Miami Gardens residents can bypass the closures with a city-issued resident permit or driver's license with a local address. You may also use the access ramps to access the turnpike.

Meanwhile in Wynwood there is further disruption at the III Points Music Festival as streets are closed until 8am on Sunday
