Rui Hachimura roasted Julius Randle after the Lakers beat the Wolves

There are certain things that often go unsaid by players in the NBA. For example, behind closed doors, teams may identify a weakness or a player they believe they can attack, but in most cases they do not often reveal this to the media.

Tuesday was not one of those times.

The Lakers opened their season with a win over the Wolves behind an MVP-level performance from Anthony Davis. LeBron James and Bronny made headlines after making history in the game. They shared the court in the second quarter, becoming the first father-son duo to do so in an NBA game.

So Rui Hachimura flew under the radar. The striker put in a strong performance at the start of the season. He scored 18 points on 7-14 shooting and had a huge dunk against Rudy Gobert in the first half.

After catching a body during the game, he went to his post-game presser and caught another. When Rui was asked about his score and performance that night, he threw Julius Randle out of nowhere.

“I just tried to be more aggressive,” Hachimura said. “We talked about Julius Randle. Sometimes he just stands there and stuff. So we talked about how we could use that somehow. I know I can be the screener. I can be in the corner and attack the rim and stuff like that.”

Well, damn it!

Was he wrong? No. Is this something players typically admit to voluntarily? No! But the tape matches Rui's words, which won't do Randle any favors.

Did Rui mean something malicious? Probably not. I can't imagine him pursuing a vendetta against Randle. And I imagine Randle will be much more engaged the next time he plays against the Lakers.

But this is one of the funniest quotes a player has had after a game in a long time. To just casually say that you were so good on offense because the guy defending you was just standing around like prime James Harden is incredible.

By my count, that's two poster dunks for Rui this season.
