Ryan Murphy teases potential returns for AHS fan favorites

Following the very first spring season of American horror storywhich ended in April, there will be no fall season this year for the first time since 2020.

But don't worry. Creator Ryan Murphy is looking ahead to next season and there's reason to believe it will feature franchise favorites Sarah Paulson And Evan Peters.

When asked when the 13th season of the hit horror anthology series will air, he teased Hollywood Reporter“I talked to Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters about this recently, so maybe sooner than you think.”

Paulson, 49, appeared in nine of the show's 12 seasons, starting with the original series. American Horror Story: Murder House. She received two Critics Choice Awards for her roles in The Movie AHS: Asylum (2013) and Freak show (2015). Paulson last appeared in the franchise's 10th season. Dual functionin 2021.

The veteran actress has become a fixture across Murphy's various franchises. Your representation of Marcia Clark In American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson earned her both an Emmy and a Golden Globe.

Like Paulson, Peters, 37, has appeared in nine seasons of AHS, starting with Murder House and last in Dual function. He also played a serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in the first part of Murphy's Monster Crime anthology series. For his portrayal of Dahmer, he won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Limited Series or Television Movie.

Although there is no schedule for the next one AHS While the season airs, Murphy has kept busy with his other projects. Most recently his second Monster season, with a focus on the Lyle And Erik Menendez Case was released on Netflix in September and debuted at No. 1 on Netflix's global rankings. It received 12.3 million views in the first four days of its release.

“The story has always fascinated people, myself included, because we will never really know what happened,” Murphy said. “It is an inexplicable mystery. There were four people involved in this story, two of whom were shot in the face. That’s why I think the public’s fascination knows no bounds because there’s no answer to that.”

In addition to MonsterMurphy has seen a wave of new project debuts in recent weeks. The first part of American sports historythat documents it Aaron Hernandez Murder case, premieres September 17th. The new season of 9-1-1 and final season of 9-1-1: Lone Star Both premiered at the same time as FX's in late September grotesque and ABC's Doctor Odyssey.
