Ryan Reynolds celebrates Hugh Jackman with Deadpool & Wolverine feature

Ryan Reynolds wishes to be Deadpool and Wolverine Co-star Hugh Jackman celebrates his 56th birthday with a series of pictures showing behind-the-scenes moments from filming Disney and Marvel Studios' Tentpole.

“I hope we can do this until we are 90. Happy birthday @thehughjackman,” Reynolds wrote on Instagram. “Many years. Lots of adventures.”

The first line refers to a running gag in the action film in which Reynolds' masked antihero breaks the fourth wall to joke about Jackman's repeated reprisals against the adamantium-clawed mutant: “Disney will make him do this until he 90 is,” Deadpool delivers in the film.

The carousel of images includes shots of the two at red carpet premieres and a behind-the-scenes look at the superhero film – of the two talking and hugging, as well as one posing with director Shawn Levy. Reynolds also wishes Jackman well on his Instagram Story, writing a quote originally spoken by Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark: “It’s not the years, darling. It's the mileage.” He added in italics next to the quote: “Happy birthday to the one and only, greatest showman,” referring to Jackman's role as the title character in the Oscar-nominated musical.

Back in August, Reynolds celebrated another one Deadpool and Wolverine Co-star Wesley Snipes called for “more Blade” after the actor reprized the role in the film. “The reaction when @realwesleysnipes walks into the film is the most intense thing I've ever heard in a theater. “People screaming with uninhibited joy and love is also the sound of a legacy,” Reynolds shared alongside photos from the set.
