Scores and game balls from Wisconsin's win over Northwestern.

Wisconsin picked up its third straight victory with a win over the Wildcats and shut out Northwestern in its makeshift lakeside stadium.

BadgerBlitz.com has grades and game snaps from Wisconsin's 23-3 win, making it 5-2 on the season.

The offense wasn't perfect, but even a miserable performance from this unit could have won this game with the way the defense played. Either way, the Badgers moved the ball well enough to pull off a comfortable win in the final quarter of the game.

Braedyn Locke came back down to earth a little. He threw for 160 yards, one touchdown and one interception while completing 58 percent of his passes for a rushing score. Both his efficiency and production declined after two excellent outings, but Locke was still good enough to lead Wisconsin to victory.

Still, he needs to play better in a closer game. His interception was an absolute gift for the Wildcats safety Coco Azemathrown far over the head of its intended recipient. Locke also missed Vinny Anthony on two potentially big plays, one on a slant and the other on an RPO. His pocket presence was shaky at times and he remained immobile on his strip sack for far too long before getting knocked down and losing the football.

However, the running game was very strong. Against Northwestern's 9th-ranked rushing defense, the Badgers had little trouble finding run after run. Tawee Walker While he didn't score, as he had done eight times in the last three games, he racked up 126 yards on the ground on 23 carries, a healthy average of 5.5 yards per carry. He ran hard and gained more yards after contact. Walker is the heart and soul of this Badgers offense right now.

In the meantime, Darrion Dupree's 40 yards rushing was a career high. He also caught a swing pass and took it 26 yards. The true freshman looks like a more mature runner every week. One of the biggest things that stands out about Dupree is that he constantly finds extra yards when there seem to be none.

The offense once again put on a show. Locke was sacked twice, but Northwestern has some capable pass rushers and the strip sack was a result of Locke holding the ball too long. In the running game, they regularly gained yards in the trenches. Northwestern's strong defensive front had no answer and Wisconsin finished the game with sack-adjusted 207 rushing yards on 5.0 yards per carry.

Overall, this was an adequate but incomplete performance. There's a lot to clean up; Locke, for example, still has way too many passes deflected at the line of scrimmage or thrown into tight coverage. All in all, that was more than enough against the hapless Wildcats.
