Shaboozey will headline the opening concert of the Utah Hockey Club's inaugural season

Current billboard Cover star Shaboozey, known for his 12-week Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” will help the Utah Hockey Club kick off its inaugural season concert with a free headlining set outside the Delta Center in downtown Salt Lake City on Tuesday (October 8) before the team's matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The concert begins at 5:30 p.m. (MT) before the Delta Center doors open to guests with game tickets at 6:30 p.m. (MT). Shaboozey's performance will be part of the Utah Hockey Club's opening game celebration, while other activities and attractions will take place throughout the day.

ESPN will broadcast the event live from Delta Center Plaza in Salt Lake City to cover the North American opening night of the 2024-2025 NHL season in three headers, beginning at 2:00 p.m. MT. ESPN's broadcast will feature the NHL's newest franchise in all three games, including St. Louis Blues – Seattle Kraken at 4:30 p.m. ET, followed by Boston Bruins – Florida Panthers at 7:00 p.m. ET and finally Chicago – Utah at 10:00 p.m. ET. Parts of Shaboozey's performance will also be shown during the broadcast. The concert is produced by NHL Entertainment.

Shaboozey not only brought a song to the top of the charts for several weeks in 2024, but also released the album Where I've been is not where I'm goingwhich rose to No. 5 on the Genre Billboard 200 and reached No. 2 on the Top Country Albums chart. At last week's People's Choice Country Awards, Shaboozey took home wins for New Artist of the Year 2024 and New Artist Song of the Year 2024 (for “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”).
