Source – Seahawks trade Jerome Baker, pick for Ernest Jones from Titans

The Seattle Seahawks are trading linebacker Jerome Baker and a fourth-round pick to the Tennessee Titans for linebacker Ernest Jones IV, a source told ESPN's Brady Henderson on Wednesday.

It's the second trade by the Titans, who also completed a trade of wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Kansas City Chiefs, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

This is the second time Jones has been traded this year. The Titans acquired Jones from the Rams in August, sending a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2026 sixth-round pick to Los Angeles for Jones.

The 24-year-old Jones has 44 tackles this season, second to the Titans, who are 1-5 and in last place in the AFC South. Baker had 37 tackles and one sack in his first season with the Seahawks for Seattle, which leads the NFC West with a 4-3 record.

Jones quickly broke into the starting lineup alongside veteran Kenneth Murray Jr., taking a leadership role and playing 91.2% of Tennessee's defensive snaps. Baker will replace Jones in the starting lineup.

Fourth-round rookie Cedric Gray could also become an option if he comes off injured reserve. Gray is recovering from a nerve-related shoulder injury. The Titans opened their 21-day window to return on October 7th.

Both Jones and Baker are scheduled to become free agents after this season. The Seahawks hope to keep Jones beyond this season, a source told Henderson.

Jones has 364 tackles in four seasons. Baker, who spent his first six seasons with the Miami Dolphins, has 624 career tackles and 23.5 sacks.

ESPN's Turron Davenport contributed to this report.
