Sources – Njoku from the Browns, Robinson Jr. from the Commanders are ready to play

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku is expected to return Sunday against the Washington Commanders. This would be his first appearance since spraining his ankle in Week 1, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Njoku is officially listed as questionable for the game. He was only able to train to a limited extent on Wednesday and Friday, but had to miss Thursday.

While he is expected to play, Njoku could be a little more limited in his first game back from the injury he suffered against the Dallas Cowboys after completing four passes for 44 yards. The 28-year-old was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time last season after a breakthrough season in which he recorded career-highs in receptions (81), yards (882) and touchdown catches (6). .

Cleveland is also expected to return offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr., a source told Schefter. He injured his knee in Week 3 against the New York Giants, which was his first game since his season-ending knee injury last year, and missed last weekend's loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Wills is officially questionable for Sunday's game.

Washington, meanwhile, should have a healthy backcourt for Sunday's game.

Austin Ekeler cleared concussion protocol and was cleared to play on Friday. Brian Robinson Jr. was considered a question mark, but a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on Saturday that he was “ready to go.”

Ekeler suffered the concussion in a Week 3 win against the Cincinnati Bengals and missed the Week 4 win against the Arizona Cardinals. Robinson didn't practice Wednesday and Thursday because of a right knee injury, but was at practice Friday and said he felt better than he did earlier in the week.
