St. Xavier High School employee fired for possible “boundary violation” with a student

CINCINNATI (WXIX) — An investigation is underway after St. Xavier High School officials were alerted to a possible “boundary violation” between a staff member and a student.

According to the school's communications coordinator, Britan Shriner, the employee has been fired and is not allowed to have contact with other staff or students at St. Xavier High School.

“Caring for the student and family remains the school’s top priority during this most difficult time,” Principal Dan Lynch wrote in an email to students, families and faculty on Friday.

School officials did not say exactly what happened between the student and the former employee.

Springfield Township police are currently investigating the incident.

Police told FOX19 NOW they plan to provide more information later Friday.
